The Johnson City Juvenile Court's location on East Myrtle Avenue needed some significant renovations before they could call the space home. Thomas Weems Architect was tasked with providing a full-size courtroom with judge's chambers and adequate social work offices, as well as an extended lobby area to accommodate high traffic volume. The renovation introduced new geometry to the building which aided work-flow and increased security provisions with effective space planning. The overall solution results in an efficient and intuitive program.
