Tennessee Hills made its first expansion out of Jonesborough with the purchase of the JRH Brewery property in 2020. TWA was engaged to design a state-of-the-art and first-of-its-kind in the region “brewstillery” complete with beer and spirits brewing operations, full-service cocktail lounge, tasting room, gift shop, and event space. The design encompasses their vision of producing “rugged American spirits” that tell the story of Appalachia. With iconic branding and eye-catching amenities like the bar crafted from old bourbon barrels and flashy copper, large overhead garage door openings, and shaded exterior patio, the brewstillery cements its place as a destination along the Walnut Street Corridor.
