Continuing their long-standing partnership, Elizabethton City Schools tasked TWA to address several areas of need across their school system through a comprehensive master planning document. Spanning five school sites, TWA worked closely with administrators to propose solutions ranging from athletic facilities, classroom additions, parking and accessibility improvements, entrance security, etc. Size and scope of proposed projects included both additions and renovations to existing facilities with the intent of improving student engagement, performance and quality of education as Elizabethton City Schools continues to push the envelope and set ground-breaking standards in student achievement. The complete master planning document supplied the school system with a concise vision for capital planning for the next several years and helped visualize and energize their goals. Since the completion of the master plan, multiple projects at Harold McCormick Elementary, T.A. Dugger Junior High, and Elizabethton High School have been approved and funded. Classroom and cafeteria renovations at Harold McCormick, secure vestibule upgrades at T.A. Dugger, and a new field house facility at Elizabethton High are all now in various stages of design and construction.
